ISSUES WITH THE PRESIDENT’S VENUE AND PROTOCOL

On Saturday, the President traveled to Siliguri to attend the International Santal Conference. He publicly voiced his displeasure with the way the event was run there. “I don’t know why Mamata is angry with me!” declared the President. Simultaneously, he questioned whether or not the state’s aboriginal population is receiving government facilities. It is important to note that the event did not happen at the scheduled site. There were claims that permission was denied because there wasn’t sufficient space for the event.
The President visited Phansidewa later. He also discussed the function of the local government in that area. “I don’t know what was going on in the administration’s mind,” the president declared. I arrived with ease. They said that there wasn’t enough room. Five lakh people were scheduled to be present.
“I am also a girl from Bengal,” she stated to the Chief Minister. Bengal is off-limits to me. My younger sister is Mamata. I’m not sure what’s causing my rage. In any case, there are no grievances. Anger is absent. May you be well, and may she be well. The majority of the chairs were vacant, and the event at the Bagdogra Airport Authority grounds did not draw the anticipated number of attendees.
On this issue, the President also made a statement. “It doesn’t look like this is an international Santal conference,” he remarked. He also questioned the evolution of the tribal community at the same time. “I don’t think that the people of the Santal community or the tribal community are getting any government facilities,” the president declared. We are skeptical that they are receiving any government facilities at all.
The President then traveled to Bidhannagar in Phansidewar. It has been discovered that the administration refused to approve the event, claiming security concerns. He went there and conversed with the locals. “I have learned that permission was not granted for the small venue here,” the President declared. However, thousands of people are able to come here. I’d want to attend. But why Mamata Banerjee is so upset with me is beyond me. I am a Bengali girl as well. Mamata Banerjee is like my sister.

MODI TARGETS TMC GOVERNMENT
Narendra Modi ji strongly condemns, responded to the comments by saying that the episode damaged the dignity of the President’s office and reflected poorly on the state government.
“Rashtrapati Ji, who herself comes from a tribal community, has expressed pain and anguish that has caused immense sadness in the minds of the people of India,” he said.
“The West Bengal TMC Government has really gone too far. This insult to the President is the fault of their administration,”and Narendra Modi ji strongly condemns.
He also took issue with the state government’s treatment of indigenous culture.
Narendra Modi ji strongly condemns -stated, “It is equally unfortunate that a subject as important as Santal culture is treated so casually by the West Bengal Government.”
BJP JOINS CRITICISM
The Bharatiya Janata Party responded to the comments by accusing the state government of insulting the nation’s highest constitutional office.
It goes beyond an administrative error when a state government disrespects the honor of the President of India’s office. In a post on X, the party’s West Bengal chapter stated, “It indicates a deeper erosion of constitutional propriety and governance.”
Piyush Goyal, a union minister, also chastised the state government for allegedly violating the event’s etiquette.
Goyal said on X, “West Bengal’s TMC Government and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee have reached a new low.”
“Breaking procedure during the International Santal Conference is an insult to the dignity of our country’s highest constitutional position, not just a mistake. He added, “Such behavior also demonstrates the TMC Government’s profound disrespect for our tribal communities, whose culture and contributions deserve the highest respect.”
Shah said on X, “The TMC Government in West Bengal today hit a new low in its anarchic behavior by humiliating the President of India with its glaring disregard for protocol.”
This exposes the corruption within the TMC Government, which not only freely violates citizens’ constitutional rights but even subjected even the Indian President to its oppression. He said, “It is an insult to our country and the very values that define our constitutional democracy to treat the highest constitutional post of India disrespectfully, especially at a program organized by our tribal sisters and brothers.”
“Every citizen who believes in democracy stands deeply hurt and anguished today,” stated Shah.
TRIBAL HERITAGE IS APPRECIATED BY MURMU
Murmu commended India’s tribal groups for centuries of cultural preservation at the 9th International Santal Conference. She called on tribal tribes to accept contemporary progress while preserving their customs, language, and natural surroundings.
Murmu, the first tribal president of India and a member of the Santal community, also urged young tribal people to study other languages and scripts while maintaining ties to their native tongue.
