The BJP revealed the names of its first phase candidates for 144 seats on Monday. The BJP presently holds 48 of these seats. But not every one of those 48 incumbent lawmakers was given a ticket this time; eight were dismissed and 40 were renominated. The central leadership did not want to be influenced by internal party disputes, according to BJP sources. Rather, their commissioned organizational surveys and public opinion polls were crucial in determining the final selection of candidates.

The state’s opposition leader, Suvendu Adhikari, is running for two seats: Nandigram and Bhabanipur. Dilip Ghosh, a former president of the BJP, is running from Kharagpur Sadar once more. Swapan Dasgupta, a former Rajya Sabha MP, has been put forward to run for the Rashbehari seat.

Rudranil Ghosh, an actor and politician, has been put forward to run for the Howrah seat of Shibpur. The BJP’s candidate for Baranagar is Sajal Ghosh. Howrah North’s candidate is Umesh Rai.
The bulk of current BJP MLAs were expected to be nominated this time, according to BJP sources. As a result, there are many familiar faces on the first list of contenders. Nevertheless, Bidyut Roy has been put forth as the candidate for the Balurghat constituency, replacing Ashok Lahiri, the current MLA. In a same vein, neither Biswanath Karak nor Madhusudan Bag, the current BJP MLAs for Goghat and Arambagh, were nominated. The candidates for these two constituencies are Hemanta Bag and Prashanta Digar, respectively.
Shankar Ghosh, the Chief Whip of the BJP in the Legislative Assembly, is one of the current MLAs running from the Siliguri seat. The son of Arjun Singh, Pawan Singh, has also been nominated once more in Bhatpara. Agnimitra Paul has been put forward to run for Asansol South. Chandana Bauri is running for the Bankura seat of Saltora once more. In Jalpaiguri’s Dabgram-Fulbari constituency, Shikha Chatterjee has also been put forward again. Malati Rava Roy has received another nomination in Tufanganj, Cooch Behar.
Sukumar Roy for Cooch Behar North, Manoj Oraon for Kumargram, Deepak Barman for Falakata, Bishal Lama for Kalchini, and Puna Bhangra for Nagrakata have all been given tickets. Anandamay Barman represents Matigara-Naxalbari, Durga Murmu represents Phansidewa, Budhrai Tudu represents Tapan, Satyendranath Roy represents Gangarampur, Jewel Murmu represents Habibpur, Chinmoy Debbarman represents Gajol, and Lakshman Ghorui represents Durgapur West.
Subhendu Sarkar, the State President of the BJP’s OBC Morcha, has been nominated in Kumarganj, South Dinajpur. The lineup of candidates in Kaliaganj, North Dinajpur, has changed; Utpal Maharaj has been given the ticket in place of Soumen Roy, the current MLA. Jagannath Chatterjee, the BJP’s State Vice President from Siuri, Birbhum, has been elected to a second term in a row.
Mamata’s Allegations

Mamata Banerjee said that someone was trying to kill her before this. She went on to say that the Prime Minister and the BJP leaders would be held accountable if she suffered any injury . Suvendu Adhikari was found to be running for two seats, Nandigram and Bhabanipur, when the BJP announced its candidate list on Monday. Suvendu Adhikari later informed reporters that he will win by 20,000 votes in Bhabanipur.. Suvendu said that she was talking gibberish because she was afraid of losing like NANDIGRAM.
