Prime Minister Modi admitted that the state of the violence in West Asia is alarming when speaking to Parliament. He emphasized how important the Strait of Hormuz is to India’s gasoline imports. The deadline for scheduling 5-kg cylinders under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana is still the same; a subsequent cylinder can be scheduled 16 days following the first.

Modiji’s Speech in Parliament

Prime Minister Narendra Modi told the people that there are no problems with the country’s gasoline and fertilizer supplies while speaking to the Lok Sabha today about the state of the war in West Asia. He added that the administration is closely monitoring the situation to prevent a fuel crisis in India. Additionally, he stated that there is an increase in LPG (cooking gas) output. Mr. Modi also requested the opposition’s help, expressing concern that the war crisis would drag on. According to him, “It is desirable that, in the face of this crisis, Parliament stands united.”

Prime Minister Modi expressed concern over the war situation in West Asia right at the beginning of his speech. He also emphasized in his speech how crucial the Strait of Hormuz is to India’s gasoline imports. Additionally, Prime Minister Modi declared, “Blocking the Strait of Hormuz or attacking cargo vessels is unacceptable.” Furthermore, Modi Ji gave the country the assurance that the Central Government is doing everything within its power to guarantee a steady supply of gas, diesel, and petrol.

According to Prime Minister Modi, his government is working to make sure that no family in the nation has to endure hardship because of the price of gas, diesel, and petrol. “India imports 60 percent of its gas requirements from other nations,” he continued, adding that the amount of LPG produced domestically has increased.

Prime Minister Modi noted that India has expanded its oil import sources during the past 11 years. According to Modi, fuel is now imported from 41 countries, compared to 27 in the past. Additionally, Modi stated that 5.3 million metric tons of fuel are now stored in India. He did point out that the oil and gas tankers now traveling to India are being closely monitored in order to guarantee a steady supply of fuel.

According to Prime Minister Modi, the nation has sufficient stocks of coal and fertilizers in addition to oil and gas. “Even if the volume of imported fertilizers declines, it will not pose any difficulties,” he said. Farmers are still getting fertilizer at the same costs even though fertilizer prices have increased. “The government is taking every possible initiative to assist them,” he said, speaking to the farming community. Prime Minister Modi added that the nation has a enough supply of coal.

Modi’s Message of Peace

Prime Minister Modi reiterated the importance of using diplomacy and peace to resolve conflicts at the end of the immersion ceremony. “We have consistently maintained that mutual dialogue and diplomacy constitute the only solution,” he said. Humanity does not benefit from war. India calls on all sides to resolve this (war) amicably.

LPG booking rule change

Further changes have been made to the rules governing the interval between reservations for two LPG cylinders. Customers with double-cylinder connections now have to wait longer. The same regulations will be in effect for 14.2 kilogram cylinder reservations in urban, rural, and remote locations. However, the required time interval between reservations varies between rural and urban locations for 5 kg and 10 kg cylinders.

Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana beneficiaries can now schedule their subsequent cylinder 45 days after scheduling their initial one. Customers could reserve the next cylinder 25 days after scheduling the previous one; this waiting period was previously 25 days. The waiting period for 5-kg cylinders under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana is still 16 days after the previous cylinder is booked.

The waiting period for scheduling a cylinder has been increased to 35 days for individuals with double cylinders. This implies that reservations for a second cylinder can only be made when a minimum of 35 days have passed since the first. Customers who just have one cylinder will have to wait 25 days. In both rural and urban regions, 14.2 kilogram cylinders are subject to the same regulations.

In cities, a second 5-kg cylinder can be reserved nine days after the first one. This gap is sixteen days in rural and isolated locations. In metropolitan regions, a second reservation for 10-kg cylinders can be made 18 days after the first one; in rural and isolated places, this period has been extended to 32 days.
